The long, winding road to here
I didn't take the straight path. I took every wrong turn, dead end, and detour possible. And every single one of them taught me something I use today.
The Beginning
Graduated with a B.Com(Hons) degree. Pivoted to what fascinated me: building things for the web. Completed a web development certification and never looked back.
The Builder Years
Freelanced as a web developer for 4 years. Built websites for hotels, guest houses, tours and travel companies, and local businesses. Started an ERP for schools (zero clients — learned that building isn\'t enough, you need to sell). Tried ecommerce. Built. Failed. Learned. Built again.
The Wilderness
COVID hit while I was building travel websites — the entire industry froze overnight. Built a game called Finding Mr. Pepper with barely any internet or electricity. Kept building websites here and there. Explored game development, data science. Searched for the right path.
The Pivot
Completed IBM & Learnbay certified Data Science course. Moved to the United States on a green card. Applied to hundreds of jobs — zero interviews. The job market was brutal. Took a part time job to survive. But something was brewing.
The Convergence
Everything clicked. 5+ years of web development + AI/LLM engineering skills + real industry experience with hotels and travel = a lot of experience. I stopped looking for jobs and started building a business. Bizuki was born — AI chatbots for small businesses. This is the chapter I\'m writing right now.
